Timing your trip

When is the best time to visit Orlando?

Across all the parks, the best windows are late January to February, September into early October, and early December — small crowds, low ticket prices, and comfortable weather. Summer and the major holidays are the hottest, busiest, and priciest times to go.

The best overall windows

These low-crowd stretches hold up whether you're doing Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, or a mix: late January to February, September to early October, and the first two weeks of December. You get shorter lines, cheaper dates, and mild days.

Weather by season

Winter (December–February) is mild and dry — the most comfortable park weather. Summer (June–September) is hot and humid with daily afternoon thunderstorms, and it overlaps hurricane season (June–November). Spring and fall shoulder months are a pleasant middle ground.

When to avoid

Skip the Christmas–New Year week, spring break and Easter, Thanksgiving week, and mid-June through early August if crowds and cost are your priority. These are peak across every Orlando park at once.

Save the most across parks

For everything except Disney, the biggest lever is a multi-park pass: if you're combining Universal, SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, or smaller attractions, a Go City Orlando pass beats stacking single-day gate prices. Buy tickets ahead regardless — gate prices are always highest.

Hitting more than one park? A Go City Orlando pass bundles Universal-area attractions, SeaWorld, and more at a discount.
