Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Plain language, no dark patterns.
The short version
Suertay collects very little personal data. The only personal data we actively collect is the email address you submit via our signup form. We don't sell, rent, or share that email with anyone outside our service providers. We do not use behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party display ads.
What we collect
Information you give us
Email addresses submitted to our newsletter signup forms (on the homepage and trip builder waitlist page). We use these to send occasional updates about Suertay — typically one email per month with theme park price intel.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) logs your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard for any website. Logs are retained for security and abuse prevention.
- Date and party-size selections. When you change the date picker or party-size counter on a park page, your choices are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist if you reload the page. This data stays on your device — it's not sent to us.
Information from third parties
When you click an affiliate link to a partner site (Undercover Tourist, Booking.com, Expedia, etc.), the partner may pass back aggregate conversion data (how many clicks led to a sale) so we can be paid commissions. We don't see your individual purchase details — we see aggregate counts, attributed to Suertay.
How we use what we collect
- To send you the email updates you signed up for.
- To prevent abuse and security incidents (server logs).
- To understand which pages and parks are most useful (aggregate analytics, no personal identifiers).
- To process affiliate commissions (aggregate conversion data from partners).
Cookies and similar technologies
Suertay uses minimal cookies. Specifically:
- localStorage for your session preferences (date picker, party size). This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Affiliate-tracking cookies set by our partners when you click their links. These follow the partner's privacy policies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other behavioral tracking systems. We do not use third-party advertising networks. We will update this section if that changes.
Third parties we work with
- Cloudflare Pages — our website host. Cloudflare logs traffic and provides DDoS protection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — we load DM Serif Display and Inter from Google Fonts. Google may log requests by IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Affiliate partners — when you click their links, you become subject to their privacy policies. See our affiliate disclosure for the current list.
- Mailchimp — our newsletter and email service provider. When you sign up for our email list, your email address and signup source are sent to Mailchimp for storage and delivery. See Mailchimp's privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to our use of it. Specifically:
- EU/UK residents (GDPR): right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): right to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of "sales" (we don't sell data, so this is N/A but the right exists).
- All users: right to unsubscribe from any email we send (every email includes an unsubscribe link).

Children's privacy
Suertay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as our practices evolve (notably, when we add a real backend for newsletter signups, when we add hotel search functionality, and when we begin participating in additional affiliate programs). The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect when changes were made. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
