Is Disney Memory Maker worth it?
Worth it if you'll collect eight or more photos — which most families on a full Disney trip easily do. Skip it for a short one-day visit or if you're happy shooting on your phone. Here's the math.
What it is and what it costs
Memory Maker is Disney's all-you-can-download photo package: every Disney PhotoPass photographer shot, every ride photo at every attraction, and character-meet photos, for your whole trip. It runs about $170–$210 per group, and pre-purchasing (3+ days ahead) saves around $40 vs buying at the park.
The math
Individual ride and character photos run about $20–$25 each at the park. So the break-even is roughly 8 photos — after that, Memory Maker is cheaper than buying them one at a time. On a multi-day trip with character dining, ride photos (Seven Dwarfs, Slinky Dog, Rise of the Resistance), and castle shots, most families blow past 8 easily.
When to buy vs skip
Buy it for trips of 2+ days, families who love photos, or anyone doing multiple character meals. Skip it for a single low-key day, or if you'll mostly shoot on your phone and only want one or two ride photos (buy those individually instead). One tip: you only need one Memory Maker per travel party — photos link across everyone's accounts.
However you handle photos, tickets are the bigger spend. Undercover Tourist sells official Disney tickets typically below gate price.
