Is Park Hopper Plus worth it?
Worth it if you'll actually use a water park on a longer trip — the upgrade is cheap (about $20–$30 per ticket over Park Hopper) and a single Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach day nearly pays for it. Skip it on a short 1–3 day trip focused on the theme parks.
What Park Hopper Plus adds
Regular Park Hopper lets you visit more than one theme park per day. Park Hopper Plus adds a set number of visits to Disney's water parks (Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach), the Oak Trail golf course, Fantasia Gardens mini-golf, and ESPN Wide World of Sports — the number of "Plus" visits matches your ticket's day count.
The math
The upgrade runs about $20–$30 per ticket over Park Hopper (date-dependent). A single Disney water-park day would otherwise cost roughly $70–$80, so if you'll do even one water-park visit, the Plus upgrade is cheaper than buying that day separately. It only makes sense, though, if you'll actually go.
When to add vs skip
Add it for trips of 5+ nights, summer visits (June–September, when a water day is a relief), or families who love water parks. Skip it on a focused 1–3 day theme-park trip, in cooler months, or if you'd rather spend a day at Disney Springs or resting. Also skip if you're not even sure you'll use it — unused Plus visits are wasted money.
