Head to head

What's the best water park in Orlando?

Orlando's four major water parks each win at something: Volcano Bay for theming and tech, Aquatica for variety, Typhoon Lagoon for its wave pool, and Blizzard Beach for thrill slides. The best one depends on which park you're already visiting.

Volcano Bay (Universal)

The most themed and modern — a volcano centerpiece, TapuTapu wristband virtual queue, and a mix of thrills and relaxation. Easiest add if you're doing Universal.

Aquatica (SeaWorld)

The most variety for the price — animal encounters (including its famous dolphin slide), a big kids' area, and strong value. Bundles cheaply with SeaWorld.

Typhoon Lagoon (Disney)

Home to one of the world's best wave pools and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. Best if you're on a Disney trip and want to float more than plummet.

Blizzard Beach (Disney)

The thrill pick — Summit Plummet and ski-resort theming for older kids and teens. Note Disney usually keeps only one of its two water parks open at a time.
